Occupying a corner lot in an established neighborhood in Winchester, this new house was sited to provide an inviting face on the street side, while providing enclosure for the private back yard. The first floor living area was framed to maximize an open concept, while providing distinct activity nodes. The living area connects to the sunny back yard, and uses a large aquarium as a focal point and spatial divider. Bedroom areas occur on 3 different levels. A contemporary palette of materials characterizes the interior finishes, while the exterior presents more traditional detailing.
